Boost Mobile’s OmniMoney And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 10/28/22

  • Wireless carrier Boost Mobile launched OmniMoney, a no-fee checking account featuring a debit card and money transfer via mobile app.
  • Online merchant and payments provider Amazon.com Inc. reported North America net sales of $78.8 billion for the quarter ended Sept. 30, up 20% year-over-year. International sales, however, dipped 5% to $27.7 billion, largely due to an unfavorable impact from foreign exchange rates. Net income totaled $2.9 billion, down from $3.2 billion in the year-ago quarter.
  • Prepaid card provider Blackhawk Network announced it will encourage partners to convert card products from virgin plastic to paper-based materials by the end of 2024 in an effort to introduce more eco-friendly products.
  • Dealer-Pay, a payments provider for automobile dealerships, said it is integrating payment-acceptance with DealerBuilt, a management system serving the same industry.
