AmEx Business Link Debuts And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 12/1/22

  • American Express Co. announced AmEx Business Link, a business-to-business payments ecosystem for network issuing and acquiring clients to offer their business customers.
  • Payments provider Newtek Business Services said it has received conditional approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to close on its acquisition of the National Bank of New York City. The company, which expects the deal to close next month, received approval last week from the Federal Reserve to operate as a bank holding company and a financial holding company through the acquisition.
  • Kickfin, a provider of tip-disbursement technology to the hospitality industry, announced an integration with Visa Direct to allow restaurant operator FSC Franchise Co. to make real-time tip payments to employees’ bank accounts. FSC operates more than 200 locations under Beef O’Brady and other brand names.
  • Canadian real-time cross-border payments provider Buckzy Payments Inc. said it raised US$14.5 million in a Series A funding round.
  • Subscription payments provider Recurly Inc. said sports streaming platform Fanatiz will use its services.
  • Fraud management platform Riskified said its technology has been integrated into the SAP Commerce Cloud platform, making it easier for merchants on this platform to access Riskified’s services.
  • Health care payments specialist RevSpring announced an integration with Epic Willow, specialized software for pharmacy transactions.
