Netevia Banking To Debut And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 1/26/23

  • Payments and financial services provider Netevia said it will launch in February Netevia Banking, a banking service for small businesses that includes virtual cards, same-day access to funds, connectivity to Netevia’s underwriting team, and a two-hour approval window. Netevia Banking will be available to independent sales organizations for resale.
  • GE HealthCare will use Checkout.com for its e-commerce service, Checkout.com announced.
  • Hawk AI, a German provider of software to combat money laundering and other frauds, said it raised $17 million in a Series B round led by Sands Capital.
  • Orbograph, a supplier of technology for check automation and fraud detection, released OrboAnywhere version 5.0, featuring streamlined installation and other improvements.
  • Buy now, pay later provider Klarna AB added Money Story to its U.S. Klarna app. Money Story recaps a user’s spending with Klarna.
  • Money transfer provider Wise said it added 15 partners in 2022 and now has 60 such globally.
  • The Western Union Co. appointed Matthew Cagwin chief financial officer. Cagwin, a former Fiserv Inc. and First Data Corp. executive, joined Western Union in July and became interim CFO in September.
