Repay Sells a Software Unit And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 2/16/23

  • Payments provider Repay Holdings Corp. said it has sold its Blue Cow Software LLC unit to PDI Technologies Inc., a software provider for convenience stores and petroleum-related companies. Terms were not disclosed. Blue Cow came to Repay in June 2021 as a result of Repay’s $503-million acquisition of BillingTree in 2021.
  • Digital identity and fraud prevention provider Socure has set a goal of rooting out 100,000 synthetic identities in 2023.
  • Restaurant-commerce platform GoTab launched its Manager App, a tool that allows operators to access and manage such functions as closing tabs, text messaging customers, updating menus, and managing digital gift cards. GoTab says it processes more than $250 million in transactions annually, operating in 35 states as well as Canada.
  • The advertising agency WPP plc said it is working with payments provider Stripe to develop commerce and payments services for clients the two companies have in common.
  • Identity and payments platform Wink said it is working with information technology consulting firm Brainvire to deploy Wink’s biometric authentication, payment, and checkout services with e-commerce platforms and merchants.
  • Blue Payment Agency Inc. relaunched its Web site to show more information about payments for federally licensed firearms dealers.
  • Mastercard Inc. added more analytics capabilities to its open banking platform via its FInicity subsidiary.
  • Diners Club Ecuador, said to be the first issuer of credit cards in that country, has gone live with the country’s first digital bank via the cloud-based Temenos Core Banking, Payments, and Analytics via Amazon Web Services.
