Finzly and Other Providers Add FedNow Support And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 7/21/23

  • Service provider Finzly said it supports the FedNow real-time payments service that launched Thursday. Other providers— Jack Henry & Associates Inc. and Pidgin—also support the instant payment service.
  • Fiserv Inc. said two of its clients are live on FedNow and nearly 100 others anticipate doing so in coming months.
  • Banking services provider CSI said it offers FedNow access and noted that Illinois bank INB N.A. is enrolled already.
  • Netspend, a prepaid and debit card specialist that Rev Worldwide acquired earlier this year from Global Payments Inc., said its X World Wallet multicurrency wallet and payments app was named the official debit card of the Leagues Cup in a campaign throughout the inaugural tournament. Leagues Cup is a tournament for 47 Major League Soccer and Liga MX teams.
  • Consumer financial services site LendingTree.com said the six largest U.S. card issuers paid $69.7 billion in credit card reward redemptions in 2022, a 23.7% increase from $13 billion in 2021.
  • Online fraud prevention company Forter said Dany Naigeboren, head of risk and analytics in the Asia-Pacific region, and Galit Shani-Michel, vice president of payments, were appointed to the Merchant Risk Council’s regional advisory boards in Asia and Europe, respectively.
