  • Shopmium, a cash-back shopping app, said it will make its cash disbursements available through the Venmo peer-to-peer payments network.
  • Card-issuing platform Marqeta Inc. announced its clients Giftbit, Vivian, and Whistle as the latest users of its embedded-payments service.
  • Solana Pay, a payments service built on Solana Lab’s blockchain, announced an integration with Shopify Inc., making real-time payments available to “millions” of businesses, Solana says.

  • Bank issued credit cards were exposed to $994 million in synthetic identity fraud in the first half of 2023, up 8.4% from $917 million in the first half of 2022, said TransUnion.
