Underdog Picks Sift for Fraud Prevention And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 1/12/24

  • Sift, a provider of technology to prevent online fraud, said it has been engaged by Underdog, an online sports-fantasy platform, to prevent the use of stolen payment credentials.
  • Darwinium, a fraud-prevention provider, said it will work with email-address technology from AtData to enable clients to identify fraudulent emails.
  • Digital authentication services provider Forter launched its latest Abuse Prevention product. The product, which helps merchants identify and block abuse, now includes Policy Builder, a tool that gives them more visibility into and control over their policies, which may have an impact on return, reseller, reshipper, and promotions abuse rates.
  • Codego Group, an Italy-based provider of cryptocurrency-based cards, has launched CodegoPay, a payments app that the company says eases the setup of a personal or corporate bank account with an international bank account number (IBAN). The service then enables users to send and receive crypto-based payments.
  • TodayPay Inc., a startup focused on digitizing refunds from merchants to consumers, appointed Mike West as strategic advisor. West comes to the company from Visa Inc., where he had responsibility for Visa Direct.
