Mastercard Realigns Units and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 4/9/24

  • Mastercard Inc. announced an organizational realignment that centers on core payments, commercial and new payment flows, and services. Jorn Lambert will lead core payments as chief product officer. Raj Seshadri will head commercial and new payment flows as chief commercial payments officer. Craig Vosburg becomes the chief services officer in charge of services.
  • Emerge Merchant Services said it now offers a cash discount plan for merchants.
  • Canada-based Processor Nuvei Corp. announced its Nuvei Singapore Pte. Ltd. unit has received a Major Payment Institution license from Singapore’s Monetary Authority.
  • The fintech PayToMe.co has integrated Stripe Connect, a portfolio of payment methods and services including credit cards, mobile wallets, and bank transfers.
  • Payment card manufacturer CPI Card Group announced it is building a new plant in Fort Wayne, Ind., with construction set to start this month, and operations planned to begin in the middle of next year. The company has had a presence in Fort Wayne for more than 16 years.
  • Payments-security firm Entrust has closed on its acquisition of Onfido, an identity-verification company. Terms were not disclosed.
  • Payments platform Finix is working with Vroom Delivery, a digital-commerce platform, to offer Pay360, an online payment service aimed at convenience stores.
  • Payments and billing platform Everyware introduced its Identity Verification Solutions set, aimed at attacking an increase in payments fraud.
  • Pavilion Payments Gaming Services Inc. named Dan Connors chief executive. Connors most recently was CEO at ScentAir, an air quality and fragrance provider.
