Fiserv’s Clover Kiosk and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 4/17/24

  • Fiserv Inc. introduced Clover Kiosk for the hotly competitive restaurant payments market, along with what it calls an enhanced Clover Kitchen Display System.
  • Ferry, a tip-payout specialist, has launched a payroll card and tipping platform nationally for casual-dining chain BJ’s Restaurants, which operates more than 200 locations in 30 states.
  • U.S.-based token-services platform TokenEx and Austria-based payments-orchestration platform IxoPay announced they are merging, with the new entity to be known as IxoPay, a TokenEx Company. Financial terms were not disclosed. Chief executive of the combined company is Marc Oleson, CEO of TokenEx.
  • Transaction Network Services launched Complete Commerce, which it says links to processors and payment providers to enable acceptance and payments orchestration, among other services.
  • Some 80% of U.S. businesses and organizations surveyed said they had been a victim of attempted or successful fraud in 2023, according to the 2024 AFP Fraud and Control Survey from the Association for Financial Professionals. The result is the highest rate since 2018 and a 15-point increase from 2022.
  • A startup called Suku launched SukuPay, which enables cross-border remittances using the USDC stablecoin. Suku worked with developer platform Alchemy and wallet provider Privy to develop the service.
