- Worldpay has made tap-to-pay on iPhone technology available to payment facilitators to offer to their merchants. Two payfacs, Fullsteam and Autobooks, have launched the service. Tap to pay lets merchants accept contactless card payments on an ordinary mobile phone with no additional hardware.
- Cantaloupe Inc., a supplier of payments technology for vending machines and other unattended markets, will supply card readers and other technology to support cafe equipment from Innovative DisplayWorks.
- Payments platform Klarna AB agreed to allow businesses using the PubMatic digital-advertising platform to reach 150 million Klarna users worldwide at the point of purchase, including 37 million in the United States.
- Central Payments launched its Street Charity prepaid card, branded with Discover and issued by Central Bank of Kansas City. Funded by donors, the cards are distributed by the nonprofit Sweet Charity to community groups for distribution to persons who otherwise have difficulty affording meals.
- Cross-border payments specialist Nium Pte. Ltd. will work with services provider Borderless AI Ventures Inc. to process business clients’ employee payments in 100 currencies in more than 190 countries.
- Transact Campus Inc., a payments provider for colleges and universities, said it will work with access-control company Genea Security to offer cloud-based door-access systems, relying on mobile credential technology from Transact.
- Digital-currency technology company Cex.io Ltd. launched a Mastercard debit card that lets users spend cryptocurrency assets in routine purchases.
- JotForm Inc., a provider of automation technology for business functions including payments, announced it has surpassed 25 million users worldwide, up 25% from a year ago.
- Payments-technology provider Celerant Technology said it is working with processor AltruPay to offer a wider selection of payment methods, including surcharging and recurring billing, to Celerant merchants.
- Kojo Technologies Inc., a developer of management software for the construction industry, launched Kojo AP, software that manages supplier payments.
