CPACharge Lines up Referral Agreements and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 5/24/24

  • CPACharge an online payment service for accounting businesses that is a unit of AffiniPay, said it lined up referral partnerships with the CPA societies in New Jersey, Nevada, and Wyoming.
  • Boston’s mass-transit system will launch contactless fare payments, possibly by early summer, according to news reports.
  • The fintech Guavapay said it is collaborating with Visa Inc. to launch a promotion in London for its multicurrency Visa card and the MyGuava App and MyGuava Business products.
  • Vitesse, a United Kingdom-based payments platform for the insurance industry, raised $93 million in a Series C funding round to finance its expected expansion into the U.S. market.
  • Mastercard Inc. said it and the African Development Bank Group launched the Mobilizing Access to the Digital Economy Alliance: Africa, which is meant to improve digital access to services for 100 million individuals and businesses in Africa over the next 10 years. Each organization is co-chair of the alliance.
