- Up ‘n go, a QR code-based pay-at-the-table provider, said it recently marked more than $1.1 billion in total payments processed. The company was founded in 2017.
- Mastercard Inc. and Visa Inc. will settle a class action lawsuit over ATM fees, according to a Reuters report. They have agreed to pay $197 million over the case where consumers alleged they kept cash access fees artificially high. The settlement is subject to court approval.
- Fraud prevention platform Sift announced RiskWatch, a service that automatically maintains block, friction, and manual review rates to a target percentage of the riskiest users while adjusting them to changes in fraud activity, seasonality, and market expansion.
- Ant Group and Mastercard Inc., with 12 other companies, launched the International Consumer Friendly Zones program in Shanghai, which aims to make it easier for international tourists to shop.
- ICBA Payments, a subsidiary of the Independent Community Bankers of America, named Jacob Eisen president and chief executive. Eisen most recently was president of fintech banking at MVB Bank.
