35% Intend To Add Faster Payments and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 6/7/24

  • The U.S. Faster Payments Council released its “Faster Payments and Financial Inclusion” survey report that found that 35% of respondents did not have a faster payments integration but planned to do so. The survey canvassed 88 organizations.
  • Technology firm EvonSys Inc. launched its Evonsys Payments Platform for cross-border transfers. The new service integrates capabilities offered by Swift, the messaging network for international payments.
  • Turkey’s Competition Board has started an investigation into Apple Inc.’s app store policies, including the iPhone maker’s restrictions on alternative payments, Reuters reported.
  • Buy now, pay later provider Zip Co. announced WNBA athlete Kelsey Plum, who plays for the Las Vegas Aces, is a brand ambassador for the company.
  • Digital-wallet provider Curve, based in London, named Nancy Yaffa chief executive for the U.S. market. Yaffa, who has been at Curve since 2021, is a former executive with Bank of America and American Express Co.
  • Point-of-sale terminal maker Ingenico named Jon Locke its chief financial officer. Locke recently was chief risk officer at Nova KBM, a Slovenia-based bank.
