- The U.K.-based payments platform Wirex said it will work with Visa Inc. to integrate digital currencies with Visa cards in the U.K. and European Economic Area. As part of the collaboration, Wirex said it is launching Wirex Pay, a service aimed at easing use of both traditional money and cryptocurrency.
- Payment gateway Freedom Pay said it will work with LS Retail, a software provider to merchant segments including hospitality, to link those businesses both to Freedom Pay directly and to payment service providers that use Freedom Pay’s technology.
- Paybotics, which specializes in payments processing for cannabis sellers, said it is collaborating with Korona POS, a point-of-sale technology provider, and Appspensary, a developer of compliance software, to offer a commerce platform for U.S. cannabis dispensaries.
- Linq, a software developer for elementary and high schools, launched an update of its Linq Connect mobile app, which among other features allows parents to make school payments for their children. Among the new features is multi-factor authentication to protect student and family information.
- Payroll-technology platform Papaya Global has launched Papaya Global Academy, a set of training videos offering 85 lessons on managing payroll.
- Conduent Inc., a processor of child-support payments, said it has been designated by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families to modernize the state’s child-support platform.
