Fortis’ New Features and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 8/26/24

  • Payments provider Fortis Payment Systems announced new features developed in partnership with accounting-software developer Sage and aimed at simplifying payment processes and streamlining back-office functions.
  • Payments provider PayJunction said it has added text-to-pay capability, allowing businesses to accept customer payments through text messages.
  • Meal Ticket, a developer of technology for food-service companies, has launched Meal Ticket Payments, a payments-processing platform aimed at food distributors and supported by Adyen NV.
  • Galileo Financial Technologies said it is offering fintechs a way to connect business clients to Mastercard Smart Data, an expense-reporting and analytics platform. The business-banking platform Rho is the first fintech to launch on the new service.
  • Health iPass, a provider of digital tools for patient contact, said it has adopted Remote Payment and Presentment Service, an account-to-account payments service from Mastercard Inc., for online bill pay in the U.S. market.
  • PatientPay, medical billing and payments provider and a registered payments facilitator, said it has closed on its merger with ClearGage, a payment-technology provider for the same industry. Terms were not announced.
  • UATP, a payments service for airlines and other travel-related companies, said it will work with travel-technology provider GO7 to support payment services for travel agencies using GO7’s W2 ticketing technology.
  • Payments processor ACI Worldwide Inc. has extended a partnership with Mexico-based fintech Mexipay to support real-time payments in that country.
  • Nuvei Corp. has agreed to process payments for Fintech360, a provider of foreign-exchange processing for business-to-business payments.
  • Visa Inc. has launched its Money Movement Advisory Practice in the U.S. and Canadian markets. The service, part of Visa Consulting & Analytics, is said to help firms realize opportunities “in the increasingly sophisticated money-movement industry.”
