Visa Snags Featurespace and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 9/26/24

  • Visa Inc. has agreed to buy Featurespace, a United Kingdom-based developer of anti-fraud technology incorporating artificial intelligence. The deal is expected to close in the first half of next year. Terms were not announced.
  • Payments provider Adyen NV launched the SFO1, a multimedia countertop terminal, its first such proprietary multimedia device, it says.
  • A fintech startup called iWallet announced it has added a capability allowing small and medium-size businesses to invoice payees through the bank-owned Zelle peer-to-peer payments network. The company earlier this year enabled payments through PayPal and Venmo.
  • Sonny’s BBQ said it will work with processor Olo to enable online-ordering, payments, and delivery capabilities. Sonny’s has almost 100 locations in the Southeast.
  • PayPal Holdings Inc. announced it has introduced its PayPal Complete Payments platform in China, aimed at helping Chinese merchants sell globally.
  • Nextech, a vendor of software for doctor’s offices, said it has added new payments features, including text-to-pay and automated clearing house transfers.
  • The payments startup Apron has completed a Series B funding round led by Zinal Growth, raising $30 million. The funding follows an earlier $15-million Series A round.
