Women’s apparel retailer Windsor Inc. will deploy the Manhattan Active Point of Sale technology from Manhattan Associates Inc. in its 350 locations. Also, merchant services firm Bluu Inc. will acquire JS Merchant Solution Inc., which does business as Smart Merchant Solution.
Atlanta-based Manhattan Associates says the Windsor installation of its cloud-native POS service offers payment acceptance across channels so operators can view all their transaction data in one location and make it easier for customers to have a uniform payment experience. Manhattan Associates says it updates Active Point of Sale each quarter.
In related news, Bluu Inc., a Hackensack, N.J.-based payments provider, acquired Smart Merchant Solution, a Dallas-based payments provider. Terms were not disclosed. Bluu says Smart Merchant will change its name to Bluu SMS Inc. Bluu SMS will join United Merchant Services as part of the company.
The acquisition will enable Bluu to expand into new markets and reach more customers, it says. Smart Merchant was founded in 2002.
