Porter Airlines’ New Card and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 1/29/25

  • Porter Airlines this spring will launch its VIPorter Mastercard card program, working with Mastercard Inc. and the Canadian banking giant BMO.
  • Payments platform Repay announced an integration with the underwriting platform Worth to allow for faster merchant onboarding and vendor connections.
  • Credit union service organization Velera released its card-on-file service that enables cardholders to update payment methods across more than 115 merchants. The service enables credit unions to push new or updated credentials to merchants, allowing for real-time updates and saving cardholders from updating their accounts at individual merchants, Velera says.
  • The payments platform WEX said it has expanded its availability at electric-vehicle charging stations in Europe.
  • Checkout-technology provider Skipify announced an integration of its Commerce Identity Cloud technology with services from the independent software vendor Retail Realm.
  • PayTech Women has announced its 2025 board of directors and marked its 20th anniversary. Audrey Blackmon of Euronet has been named president.
  • Tarek El-Yafi has been appointed head of global transaction services at U.S. Bank, responsible for worldwide banking and payments. El-Yafi comes to the bank after a career spent with Citibank and Standard Chartered Bank.
