  • Trustly, an open-banking specialist, will work with payments specialist Spreedly to offer pay-by-bank services to merchants.
  • ACI Worldwide Inc. will work with Banfico, a provider of technology for open banking and regulatory compliance, to help banks and payment service providers in Europe comply with confirmation of payee and verification of payee requirements.
  • FIS Inc. launched FIS Revenue Insight, a platform aimed at helping businesses improve collections.
  • Business-payments provider FXellence introduced FXellence International Payments, a cross-border payment service using Currencycloud, technology that is part of the Visa Direct real-time payment services. Visa Inc. paid nearly $1 billion to acquire Currencycloud in December 2021.
  • The Western Union Co. introduced its international money transfers capability in an app from Penny Pinch, a digital wallet based in the Eastern Caribbean.
  • RapidCents Inc., a Canadian company specializing in automated billing and payments, announced an investment of $500,000 U.S. to develop advanced artificial intelligence capability for processing and chargeback protection.
  • PayIt, a platform for government payments, said it is working with Pitt County, N.C., to support digital payments for various government services in a program that began last year and has since expanded with a mobile app.
  • GoDaddy Inc. will promote its GoDaddy Airo service with a commercial during the Super Bowl. GoDaddy Airo, which claims 3 million U.S. users, includes tools for e-commerce functions.
  • Technology firm R3 is working with Idemia Secure Transactions to support online and offline use of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), a form of stablecoin backed by national governments.
  • Car IQ has collaborated with Visa Inc. on “Cardless Fleet Payments: How Car IQ is Re-Inventing the Fleet Payment Process,” a whitepaper covering vehicle-based payments.
