Eye on Mobile: Vantiv To Resell CardFlight mPOS; USAePay Cinches Certifications

Merchant processor Vantiv Inc. has agreed to offer a mobile point-of-sale platform from CardFlight Inc. The platform, called SwipeSimple, includes an EMV reader, a mobile app for iOS and Android, and a back-office reporting portal.

New York-based CardFlight says the devices will be co-branded with Vantiv’s branding and will be available through the Symmes Township, Ohio-based processor’s independent sales organization and financial institution merchant-solutions channels.

“CardFlight’s mobile POS solution is a natural fit, and their ability to cobrand the solution for our customers is a key differentiator,” Kelly Beatty, Vantiv senior vice president and general manager of merchant solutions for financial institutions, says in a statement.

CardFlight launched its EMV-compatible mobile reader in 2015. Since then, more than 80% of CardFlight merchants have been enabled to accept chip card payments.

In related news, e-Nabler Corp., developer of the eMobile POS software, said it is working with Vantiv Integrated Payments.

In November, Vantiv announced it was buying the U.S. merchant-acquiring subsidiary of Moneris Solutions Corp. for $425 million.

Also, USAePay, a Los Angeles-based payments gateway, said it completed EMV certification on multiple processing platforms, including Global Payments, First Data Nashville, and Total System Services Inc. (TSYS).

The certifications cover the company’s mobile-payments devices, which accept EMV, contactless, and mag-stripe transactions.

“These certifications will help give our resellers the tools needed to compete in this changing landscape,” Martin Drake, USAePay president, said in a statement.
