• U.K.-based merchant-processing giant Worldpay Group Plc reported its U.S. revenue, which accounts for more than a quarter of its total revenue, increased 15.5% to $299 million in 2016, though the company pointed to weakness in its U.S. business that hurt its overall performance. Average U.S. transaction value declined 2.2% to $39.50.
• Payments processor JetPay Corp. is using technology from Cardplatforms LLC to deploy its payroll card, the JetPay Money Access Card, Cardplatforms announced.
• Payments gateway Constellation Payments said its integrated-payments terminal and contactless payment functionality received certification in Canada from processor Elavon. The certification includes online payment-processing services in Mexico, too.
• ABC Financial Services, a vendor of software and payment processing to the health and fitness sector, has enhanced its DataTrak software with translation into Spanish and integration with Micros.
• Bluefin Payment Systems said it is providing its point-to-point encryption service to users of Pinnacle Corp.’s Palm POS platform, which is targeted at convenience stores.
• Finexio, a payments-network provider that converts checks into electronic payments, announced that ScriptRelief LLC, issuer of the National Prescription Savings Card, has adopted its platform.
• U.K.-based business-to-business payments processor and virtual card provider Optal Ltd. announced it has acquired corporate-payments provider Invapay. Terms were not announced.
• Credit-union service organization PSCU said it will use Pindrop’s proprietary platform to prevent call-center fraud.
• SWBC, which provides insurance, mortgage, and investment services, said its financial-institutions division has hired Jack “Ken” Ross as payments product manager and promoted Holley Sorenson to director of client support.
