Payment Data Systems Buys an ISO and other Digital Transactions News briefs

• Private-equity fund Vista Equity Partners said it would buy Canadian payments and financial software provider DH Corp. (D+H) for C$4.8 billion ($3.6 billion) in cash and merge it with one of its portfolio companies, United Kingdom-based Misys, a software provider for retail and corporate banking.

• Merchant processor Payment Data Systems Inc. said it has a non-binding agreement to buy independent sales organization Singular Payments LLC; terms of the pending deal were not disclosed.

• NCR Corp. announced that it granted an early release for major investor The Blackstone Group L.P. to sell 49% of its holdings in the ATM manufacturer and payments software provider under a share conversion and repurchase plan.

• Fraud-prevention specialist Kount Inc. and risk-management provider Chargebacks911 formed a partnership that sees them offering each other’s products to merchants.

• Point-of-sale terminal maker ExaDigm Inc. said processor Total System Services Inc. (TSYS) certified the ExaDigm EMV application.
