• Phillips 66 Co. moved closer to the launch of its mobile-payments service for fuel purchases with the unveiling of its mobile-commerce platform developed in conjunction with P97 Networks Inc. and JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s Chase Pay.

Payment gateway Shift4 Corp. announced its cofounders, J. David Oder and Katherine Oder, are entering semi-retirement. J. David Oder will remain as chief executive and board chairman but relinquish the position of president to J.D. Oder II, current senior vice president and chief technology officer. J.D. Oder will remain as CTO. Katherine Oder will become vice chairman of the board and remain as secretary, but will be succeeded as executive vice president by Stephanie Stowers, who has served as senior vice president of customer service.

Digital Check Corp. launched its new check scanner, the SmartSource Adaptive 2.0, for general purchase by financial institutions and businesses.

PayPal Holdings Inc. is suing Pandora over the latter’s new logo, claiming the music-streaming service’s new blue “P” logo was “infringing and diluting” PayPal’s brand, the San Jose Mercury News reported.
