Network Merchants Earns TSYS Certification and other Digital Transactions News briefs

Processor Fiserv Inc. said a new scoring model for its Payment Fraud Manager service designed specifically for automated clearing house transactions detected more than 90% of fraud while reviewing only 2% of the transactions in model validation tests.

Payment gateway Network Merchants LLC announced its SwIPe EMV chip card solution has been certified on the Total System Services Inc. (TSYS) platforms. The solution is aimed at enabling faster deployment of chip card solutions when combined with the company’s software development kit, smart terminals, and processor certification.

Payments-software vendor RS Software Ltd. joined a partner program from Apigee, a platform for application programming interfaces (APIs).

The Smart Card Alliance on Oct. 6 will host the first part of a two-part webinar for merchants about the benefits of contactless card and mobile EMV payments.

Mobile-technology provider Global Platform has issued a challenge to programmers and others to compete in a hackathon Oct. 7-9 to create solutions based on trusted execution environment (TEE) technology. TEEs are used in Internet-connected devices to secure, for example, biometric-authentication functions.

Payments provider YapStone Inc. named Bruce Dragt as senior vice president of product. Dragt has held positions at Wells Fargo Co. and First Data Corp., and served as a board member for Bank of America Merchant Services and Merchant Link.
