Paysafe Will Be the First ISO To Market VeriFone Connect And Related Devices

Payments provider Paysafe is the first reseller of VeriFone System Inc.’s Verifone Connect service among independent sales organizations, VeriFone announced Tuesday.

Verifone Connect is a suite of point-of-sale services, such as payment acceptance, point-of-sale terminal management, and business-management tools, that works with VeriFone’s Carbon and Engage devices. London-based Paysafe is targeting quick-serve restaurants and small and mid-size businesses. San Jose, Calif.-based VeriFone estimates there are more than 240,000 QSR businesses and 5.5 million small businesses in the United States.

“The needs of the merchants we serve have become more and more complex as payment and business-solution needs sometimes outgrow the capability of a standalone terminal,” said Todd Linden, chief executive of Paysafe’s payment processing for North America. The Carbon integrated devices can replace merchants’ cash registers, while the Engage line represents the company’s latest generation of POS technology

In September, Paul Galant, VeriFone chief executive, noted a “growing interest” in Carbon from the merchant-acquiring community. VeriFone introduced Carbon in 2016 and Engage in 2015.
