- Facebook Inc. deleted nearly 120 private discussion groups just hours after being alerted by the KrebsOnSecurity news site that the groups, with a total of 300,000 members, promoted sales of stolen credit and debit card data, account takeovers, tax refund scams, and other illicit activities. The average tenure of the groups was two years, but some had been on Facebook for as long as nine years, Krebs said.
