- Payments provider SignaPay released a mobile app for Apple and Android devices called PayLo Mobile Sales to help sales agents selling the PayLo Cash Discount product.
- Installment-payments provider Sezzle said it raised $100 million in funding from Bastion Capital. Since launching the service more than a year ago, Sezzle says more than 4,000 merchants offer it and 200,000 consumers have used the service.
- Independent sales organization American Bancard LLC, which does business as TouchSuite, said it now accepts U.S. and Canadian merchant-account applications for sellers of CBD products. CBD is the common term for cannabidiol, a non-intoxicating byproduct of marijuana cultivation.
- Payments provider Hypur released an app that enables users to pay for purchases at cannabis merchants using their checking accounts. The free app is available for iOS and Android devices.
- Payment card maker CPI Card Group Inc. agreed to sell its Canadian subsidiary to Allcard Limited, a provider of gift and loyalty cards. Terms were not disclosed.
- PayPal Holdings Inc. closed on its $400 million cash acquisition of online payouts specialist Hyperwallet.
- Bank of America Merchant Services said it is part of American Express Co.’s Small Business Saturday promotion as a corporate supporter.
- Metropolitan Commercial Bank, working with Crypto.com affiliate Foris Inc., said it is introducing the MCO prepaid Visa card in the United States following an October rollout in Singapore. The no-fee card features contactless capability, no-fee ATM withdrawals, and the ability to buy, sell, and store cryptocurrency, which is converted to fiat currency before using the card for transactions.
- Germany-based payments provider Wirecard announced it supports Mastercard Inc.’s prepaid services.
