- Payment-terminal maker Equinox Payments and payments-software provider Acceo Tender Retail announced the Equinox Luxe 8500i and Luxe 6200m terminals have achieved EMV end-to-end certification on First Data Corp.’s platform and will be submitted in February for validation from the PCI Security Standards Council.
- First Data Corp. said its TransArmor point-to-point encryption service received PCI Security Standards Council validation. First Data says the service is currently available on Ingenico Group’s Telium 2 line of smart point-of-sale terminals.
- Ingenico Group introduced a payments chatbot for use in messaging apps. The technology relies on IBM Watson natural-language processing technology and was developed with technology firm JoinedApp.
