Technical Transportation Inc. announces it has added ATM support to its delivery service for high-value, heavy machines. The 15-year-old company, based in Dallas, says it will now deliver, install, and test ATMs, bringing them from manufacturer to location and working through a network of agents and technicians. The company says it will also offer short-term warehousing of ATMs, logistics for machines used for demonstrations, and “reverse logistics” in cases of asset recovery or warranty swap-outs. Manufacturers and their clients can track ATM deliveries at the company's secure Web site using a waybill number, serial number, date, origin, or consignee and can also check proof of delivery. The increasing technical sophistication of ATMs has in part led to a need for more specialized handling, the company says. “Manufacturers of specialized equipment, such as ATMs, expect careful handling from crews delivering and installing new machines,” says Len Batcha, president of the company, in a statement. “Our specially trained crews deliver, install, and test ATMs and post complete reports online so the manufacturer knows the equipment is up and running properly.”
