- Juniper Research Ltd. released a report on digital wallets in North America and Europe that says purchase volume with them will increase 40% in 2019.
- The United States is the country from which the most people are traveling overseas, followed by Mainland China and Germany, according to Mastercard Inc.’s Global Destination Cities Index.
- MoneyGram International Inc.signed an agreement with money-transfer startup Sentbe, which has become the first virtual agent for MoneyGram in South Korea.
- Point-of-sale equipment distributor POSData Group Inc. said it soon will offer TEAMSable POS devices.
- Discover Financial Services named Wanji Walcott chief legal officer and general counsel, succeeding Kelly McNamara Corley, who retired earlier this year. Walcott joins Discover from PayPal Holdings Inc.
- Chargeback named John Munro its chief executive. Munro had been the chief operating officer of the chargeback-management provider. The firm also announced several other new hires.
