- Fiserv Inc. formally announced the closing of its $22-billion, all-stock acquisition of processing giant First Data Corp.
- MagTek Inc. said its DynaPro Go PIN pad now offers Bluetooth LE connectivity. The company also launched its iDynamo 6 mobile card reader that works with iOS, Android, and Windows operating systems.
- Utah’s Deer Valley Resort said it detected malware on May 19 on payment systems at its The Mariposa and Royal Street restaurants. The malware was apparently programmed to detect track data and was active on the restaurants’ payment systems in January, the resort said.

- United Kingdom-based Glint Pay, which allows holders of gold to buy, sell, and save their gold holdings via the Glint app and a debit Mastercard, announced it is setting up U.S. operations with a headquarters in Boulder, Colo.
- Patientco, a provider of patient-payment technology in health care, appointed Heather George as chief revenue officer. George is a former Kaufman Hall, McKesson, and GE Healthcare executive.
