  • Fiserv Inc. formally announced the closing of its $22-billion, all-stock acquisition of processing giant First Data Corp.
  • MagTek Inc. said its DynaPro Go PIN pad now offers Bluetooth LE connectivity. The company also launched its iDynamo 6 mobile card reader that works with iOS, Android, and Windows operating systems.
  • Utah’s Deer Valley Resort said it detected malware on May 19 on payment systems at its The Mariposa and Royal Street restaurants. The malware was apparently programmed to detect track data and was active on the restaurants’ payment systems in January, the resort said.
  • E-commerce listing and order-management platform SureDone integrated Shopify’s e-commerce and payment services to help clients more easily deploy online storefronts.
  • Online installment-payment provider Klarna said it has worked with fashion brand Man Repeller to create a pop-up store to demonstrate services to consumers at the Showfields pop-up store site in New York City.
  • Comdata, a payment-processing unit of fleet-fueling company Fleetcor, launched a promotion with tire manufacturers to offer discounts to Comdata fuel card customers.
  • Epson America Inc. launched its Epson OmniLink Merchant Services 3.0 service that enables value-added resellers to offer merchants additional point-of-sale services.
  • Payments provider ACI Worldwide said it is providing European clients with strong-authentication tools to comply with new regulations under the latest revised payment-services directive (PSD2) from the European Union.
  • United Kingdom-based Glint Pay, which allows holders of gold to buy, sell, and save their gold holdings via the Glint app and a debit Mastercard, announced it is setting up U.S. operations with a headquarters in Boulder, Colo.
  • Patientco, a provider of patient-payment technology in health care, appointed Heather George as chief revenue officer. George is a former Kaufman Hall, McKesson, and GE Healthcare executive.
