Clover Scores at Fiserv Forum and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 10/22/19

  • Fiserv Inc. said its Clover point-of-sale system is in use throughout Fiserv Forum, a Milwaukee arena that is home to the Milwaukee Bucks NBA team. Fiserv said more than 25 large stadiums and arenas use Clover. In 2018, Clover processed more than $70 billion in payment volume.
  • Evolve Bank & Trust said it will work with i2c Inc. on a service to enable Evolve clients to create banking and payment products across a variety of form factors. Evolve also announced the Mastercard Cash Pick-Up program to enable consumers to withdraw cash at participating ATMs without the use of a physical card.
  • Fintech company Revolut said it will launch Revolut cards in the United States by year’s end in partnership with Mastercard Inc.
  • Deluxe Corp. introduced Deluxe Bill Pay, a cloud-based service for financial institutions that streamlines billing and payment processing. The company also introduced AR.Bots, technology intended to reduce manual entry in invoicing and payment receipt for businesses.
  • Politico reported the U.S. Department of Education picked several vendors and four universities that will participate in its long-delayed federal student aid disbursements pilot program, including Fiserv Inc.’s First Data unit and prepaid card issuer MetaBank.
  • Cloud-based point-of-sale system maker Revel Systems announced an integration with 7shifts, a restaurant labor-management service.
  • Health-care payments provider RevSpring named Steve Callis president of payments. Callis previously worked at Elavon, EVO Payments, and Global Payments. RevSpring is a portfolio company of private-equity firm GTCR.
  • Payment-services provider Baldwin Hackett & Meeks Inc. joined the U.S. Faster Payments Council.
  • Cryptocurrency-payments firm Ripple Labs announced Craig Phillips joined its board of directors. Phillips most recently served as Counselor to the U.S. Treasury Secretary, Steven Mnuchin.
