New 7-Eleven Delivery Option and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 3/18/20

  • In the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, 7-Eleven Inc. said its home-delivery service has added a “contactless” option in which customers can indicate they want the delivery left at the door. The company’s 7NOW delivery app counts more than 30 million enrolled households.
  • MoneyGram International Inc. reported its online transactions grew 60% year-over-year in the first two months of 2020, following a 39% increase in the fourth quarter year-over-year, and said the trend is continuing in March. The company did not release the absolute figures.
  • Fiserv Inc. said it has acquired Bypass Mobile, an independent software vendor specializing in back-office and data-management technology for restaurant chains, sports-and-entertainment venues, and food-service management companies. Terms were not announced.
  • Brex Inc., an issuer of corporate cards, announced it will conduct a series of online seminars to fill a gap created by the suspension of payments-industry conferences during the Covid-19 outbreak.
  • Business-to-business payments provider Billtrust said its Second Phase service, which assists companies in setting up Web stores and processing e-commerce transactions, has been certified by Acumatica, a business-management software provider.
  • ClientPay, a payments provider for professional-service firms, said it has forged a partnership with Deltek Inc., a vendor of software for businesses, in which Deltek clients will gain access to ClientPay’s capabilities.
  • Mobile payments provider AnywhereCommerce said FroogalPay, a payments middleware provider, integrated AnywhereCommerce card readers and its gateway.
  • Payments provider Fattmerchant said HindSite Software, a developer for the lawncare, irrigation, heating and air conditioning, and home service industries, now offers Fattmerchant integration.
