- EVO Payments Inc. reported third-quarter revenue of $117 million, a 4.4% decrease from $122.4 million in the same period a year ago. Its profit, however, of $5.8 million reversed a $1.8 million loss last year. In the quarter, EVO launched EVO Direct Deposit, a real-time settlement service for merchants.
- The Covid-19 pandemic made itself felt in ACI Worldwide Inc.’s third-quarter results. The digital payments services provider posted revenue of $315.9 million, an 11% decrease from $354.9 million in the 2019 third quarter. Net income of $15.9 million was down 50% from $31.8 million last year. ACI cited the pandemic impact on its on-premise business as temporarily affecting its results.
- Green Dot Corp. reported processing $7.6 billion in purchase volume in the third quarter, up 26% year-over-year. Momentum from stimulus funds, an extended tax season, unemployment benefits, and new users carried into the quarter, officials said.
- Nacha, the governing body for the nation’s automated clearing house network, named Tempus Technologies a preferred partner in its Payment Facilitator program.

- USA Technologies Inc. has embarked on a program to update its wireless technology where needed for vending and unattended payments as mobile operators phase out older 2G and 3G networks.
