- Nuvei Corp. said a wholly owned subsidiary has been approved to process sports-betting transactions in Tennessee, where sports wagers have been legal since 2019. Previously, Nuvei received approval to process sports betting in Colorado, Indiana, and West Virginia.
- Point-of-sale system provider Revel Systems said majority owner Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe made another investment in the company. The amount was not disclosed. Revel also announced an integration with eCard Systems that will enable Revel to offer gift card services to its clients.
- Payments provider Usio Inc. said The Compton Pledge, a guaranteed income program that will distribute cash relief to low-income residents, will use Usio’s prepaid card services as its preferred disbursement method.
- Payments-technology provider Paystone closed a $69-million financing from Canadian Business Growth Fund and National Bank of Canada.
- Nacha, the automated clearing house rule maker, launched an online learning program called SPEAK (Strengthening Payments Engagement and Knowledge) aimed at payments professionals. An annual subscription for the course costs $595 for Nacha members, $695 for non-members.
- ParkMobile LLC said Virginia Tech has adopted its mobile app for parking at 15,000 campus spaces on-street and in lots and garages. More than 1.2 million of the company’s 21 million users live in Virginia.
- The Western Union Co. said its digital person-to-person payments platform has been integrated with financial services offered by NH Investment & Securities in South Korea.
