- Nuvei Corp. said it will integrate Mastercard Send push payments into its payment technology platform. Send enables speedy funds disbursement for use cases like payroll, insurance claims, and refunds.
- Agilysys Inc., a provider of point-of-sale software for the hospitality industry, rolled out Agilysys Digital Marketing, which allows managers to send personalized messages and promotional offers to guests.
- Identity-based security software vendor Entrust launched its Instant ID as a Service technology, a single platform that enables issuance of physical and digital IDs.
- Mogo Inc., a digital-payments technology provider, said it has a binding letter of intent to acquire Moka Financial Technologies Inc., provider of a saving and investing app, for 5 million shares of Mogo stock valued at $64 million. The transaction will increase Mogo’s user base by more than 500,000 to more than 1.7 million.
- In related news, Mogo announced total revenue of $44.2 million for 2020, down from $59.8 million in 2019, reflecting in part the sale of a portion of the company’s loan portfolio last year.
- Identity-verification technology provider Jumio Corp. said it has secured a $150-million investment from private-equity firm Great Hill Partners, said to be the largest funding round in the digital-identity business.
- Meta Financial Group Inc. said its MetaBank N.A. unit will participate in distribution of Economic Impact Payments from the federal government via distribution of prepaid cards. The bank distributed $7.1 billion on 8.1 million cards in December in the second round of EIP and $6.4 billion on 3.6 million cards in May under the CARES Act, the first round of EIP.
