- Intuit Inc. said its Intuit ProConnect unit has partnered with Practice Ignition, a service provider to accounting firms, to provide payments and other services to tax-preparation professionals. Intuit in February sued Visa Inc. and Mastercard Inc., alleging the networks’ interchange pricing models constitute unlawful price fixing.
- Payments provider i3 Verticals Inc. said it has acquired two unnamed software companies serving the health-care industry. The company, which said the aggregate outlay for the two companies came to $17.4 million, added it will provide further detail in an earnings call set for May.
- Loop Insights Inc., a provider of contactless and artificial-intelligence technology, announced it has joined the Sovrin Foundation, an open-standards blockchain platform for digital identity. More than 70 firms belong to the foundation, including Cisco and T-Mobile.
- Payments-technology provider TRG appointed former TSYS and Phoenix Group executive Liz Everett director of payment solutions.
