- Payments provider Mogo Inc. said it has sold its investment in cloud platform Vena Solutions Inc., resulting in proceeds of approximately $4.7 million.
- Petco Health and Wellness Co. Inc. launched Petco Pay, which includes a cobranded Mastercard credit card and a Petco Pay private-label credit card. The cards are issued by Alliance Data. Petco has more than 1,500 stores in the United States, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
- Payment card manufacturer CPI Card Group Inc. launched blank white card stock made with plastic recovered from the oceans that can be used for instant issuance through CPI’s Card@Once technology.
- Cryptocurrency platform Gemini announced a cryptocurrency rewards credit card that will be issued by WebBank and bear a Mastercard Inc. brand. To be available later this year, Gemini says the 140,000 individuals are on the waitlist.
- Payments-technology company Zwipe AS is demonstrating Zwipe Pay ONE, a contactless card that depends on biometric authentication via fingerprint.
- Buy now, pay later provider Sezzle Inc. said Market America Worldwide’s Shop.com site now offers Sezzle as a payment option.
- Anti-fraud technology provider Sift Inc. announced enhancements to its Digital Trust & Safety product set to protect Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source merchants against payment fraud and account takeover.
- On Track Innovations Ltd., which provides near-field communication and contactless payment products, signed a distribution agreement with Secure Retail Ltd. to reach the unattended market in the United Kingdom.
