Flywire Readies for Possible IPO and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 5/3/21

  • Payments company Flywire Corp. has filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering. The number of shares to be offered and their price range have not yet been determined. The action follows the company’s submission in March of a confidential draft registration statement for the IPO.
  • Payments provider Repay Holdings Corp. said it will restate certain of its financial statements to record warrants as liabilities rather than equity, in accordance with guidance issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission. The warrants are related to the company’s combination with Thunder Bridge Acquisition Ltd., a special purpose acquisition corporation, in a so-called SPAC merger that took the company public in July 2019.
  • Installment payment provider Affirm Inc. said it completed its $300 million acquisition of Returnly, an online returns provider.
