360 Payments Teams With AutoVitals to Provide a Range of Contactless Payments

AutoVitals Inc., a provider of auto-repair shop management software, announced Friday it is teaming with payments processor 360 Payments to provide independent auto-repair shops a range of payment options, including text-to-pay functionality.

By adding 360 Payments to its platform, AutoVitals said it will round out its digital offering to provide independent shops with a fully contactless customer experience from drop-off, to inspection, to pick-up and payment.

360 Payments offers a variety of contactless payment options, including mobile payments, e-commerce, and shopping-cart applications. The processor’s text-to-pay offering enables repair shops to send consumers a digital invoice via text or email. In addition, 360 Payments offers virtual terminals and smartphone terminals such as Clover Go and Clover Flex and USAePay Mobile.

“Enabling a more efficient, contactless, and digital experience with options like text-to-pay expands a shop’s customer base and can lead to higher retention, greater productivity, and, ultimately, higher revenue,” AutoVitals chief executive Jon Belmonte says in a prepared statement.

AutoVitals has more than 2,000 independent auto-repair shops across the United States and Canada in its network. The company’s platform, which is intended to equip independent shops with the same management technology found in dealer repair shops, includes a digital vehicle inspection application that allows repair shops to text customers detailed vehicle inspection results, including photos to support the inspection results.

The company’s workflow-automation application enables live chat between auto technicians and service managers via tablet computers, eliminating the need for in-person back and forth between both parties when questions arise about a repair job.

“Remote payments are more important than ever, and customers are increasingly demanding a contactless way to pay that fits into their busy schedules,” 360 Payments chief executive Steve Ciabattoni says in a prepared statement.
