- Cloud-based point-of-sale maker Revel Systems said Dave’s Hot Chicken restaurant chain will use Revel Enterprise for its POS system. In the first quarter, the chain said its newly signed franchisees expanded the number of locations to more than 400.
- Payments provider Qualpay said it will process transactions for FuelMor, a software platform for propane suppliers.
- Buy now, pay later specialist PayBright Inc. said it will provide installment-payment services online and in-store for Canadian shoe merchant Browns. Affirm Inc. acquired PayBright in December.
- PayByPhone Technologies Inc. said its mobile-parking app has added coverage of 7,800 on-street spaces and more than 1,500 off-street spaces in Pittsburgh.
- Nok Nok Labs Inc., whose technology enables security without passwords, is working with CompoSecure Holdings LLC, a provider of payment cards and cryptocurrency-storage technology, to develop an identity solution enabling consumers to buy, sell, and swap digital currencies. The solution is in beta testing.
- Payments provider Mogo Inc. reported its payments-processing volume for the second quarter increased 83% year-over-year to $2 billion. The volume was handled through the company’s Carta Worldwide business-to-business payments unit.
- Bill-payment processor Paymentus Holdings Inc. reported it handled 64.2 million transactions in the second quarter, up 39% year-over-year. Revenue totaled $93.5 million, up 30.3%. Paymentus announced Tuesday it has agreed to acquire Payveris LLC, a digital money-movement platform, in a deal valued at $152.2 million.
- Business-payments provider Bottomline Technologies Inc. launched a real-time watchlist-screening capability to help clients comply with a welter of regulations, including anti-money laundering, counter terrorist financing, know your customer, and wire-transfer regulations.
- Paysafe Group said Chirag Patel is the new chief executive of its Digital Wallets business, which includes Skrill and Netteller. Patel most recently was with Santander Group where he was global head of payments.
- Payments provider Affinipay LLC said industry veteran Stuart C. Harvey Jr. joined its executive board of directors. A former chief executive of Elavon, Harvey most recently was chairman of Paysafe Group from 2018 to 2021.
