Jack Henry’s Zelle Incentive and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 11/2/21

  • Jack Henry & Associates Inc. and Early Warning Services LLC, the Zelle operator, announced a rebate program through June 2022 for minority-owned depository institutions that enable Zelle via Jack Henry’s JHA PayCenter, its faster payments hub.
  • Prepaid Technologies Co. Inc. said it raised $96 million in its latest funding round that it will use for growth and advancing its prepaid digital payment products.
  • Buy now, pay later specialist Klarna AB said it is a sponsor of the Angel City Football Club of the National Women’s Soccer League, which will play in Los Angeles next Spring.
  • In related news, Klarna said it was acquiring PriceRunner, a service that provides product reviews, product discovery, and price comparisons. Klarna plans to add the service to the Klarna app. Terms were not disclosed.
  • Shift4 Payments Inc. will integrate the CashClub Wallet technology from Everi Holdings Inc., which provides casino gaming and fintech services, Everi said.
  • Paysafe Ltd. said its payments platform is now live with SuperBook Sports, a sports-betting brand, in Colorado and New Jersey.
  • Point-of-sale system maker Lightspeed Commerce Inc. expanded its Lightspeed Payments service to Australia and to U.S. merchants that had used Vend, a POS system provider Lightspeed acquired earlier this year.
  • The Western Union Co. launched WU Shop, a shopping platform, in Germany and Austria with plans to add the United States in the fourth quarter. WU Shop enables MyWU loyalty members to shop at more than 12,000 merchants and send gifts directly to recipients in other countries.
  • The OLB Group Inc., a cryptocurrency payments and mining company, said it is prepared to process Mastercard Bitcoin payments.
