Stripe Acquires OpenChannel and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 12/7/21

  • Processor Stripe Inc. said it acquired OpenChannel, which provides app marketplace software. Terms were not disclosed.
  • Payments provider Payoneer Inc. announced a worldwide working-capital offer for sellers on the Walmart U.S. marketplace.
  • In related news, Facepay Inc., a payments provider specializing in auto-repair shops, said its Facepay Capital service is available to all shops on its platform.
  • Money transmitter LianLian Global announced it has now obtained licenses in all 50 U.S. states.
  • Epos Now, a technology platform focused on ordering and payments for 47,000 locations in the hospitality sector across 47 nations, launched Epos Now Delivery, a service supported by Deliverect, an online order-management provider.
  • Payments-technology provider BHMI announced its release of Concourse 4.15, the latest version of software that manages back-office processing for credit, debit, and prepaid cards and peer-to-peer transactions.
  • Buy now, pay later provider Zip Co. Ltd. appointed Levi Aron its chief growth officer for the U.S. market. Aron most recently was chief revenue officer for SevenRooms, a hospitality management platform.
  • Greenphire, whose technology manages payments from sponsors and other parties involved in clinical trials, appointed Alan Matuszak as chief technology officer. Matuszak comes to the company from Medidata Solutions.
  • Mastercard Inc. announced leadership appointments for its senior client and partnerships and relationships office as well as for international markets, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific.
