- Rev USA, a unit of Rev Worldwide Inc., announced a nationwide launch for its X World Wallet, app-based account that includes features such as loyalty and travel bookings and can be linked to physical and digital Visa cards.
- Computer Services Inc., a payments processor for financial institutions and corporate clients, reported its revenues increased 12.7% to a record $82 million in the company’s fiscal third quarter, which ended Nov. 30.
- Payments provider Nuvei Corp. said it is enabling international merchants to accept local payment methods in 10 countries in Latin America, in addition to the international card networks and alternative payment methods.
- Private equity firm Corsair said it acquired a majority stake in Aurora Payments, an independent sales organization servicing small and mid-size businesses. Terms were not disclosed.
- CellPoint Digital, a digital commerce and payment provider, announced Toscafund Asset Management LLP investment fund and its private equity arm Penta Capital, made a $25 million investment in the company.
- The average monthly payment for a new car reached $636 in the fourth quarter last year, the highest sum ever recorded by the Edmunds automotive-information service. The fourth-quarter sum was up from $581 in 2020’s fourth quarter.
- KodyPay, a fintech focused on payments processing for physical merchants, appointed Sophie Haagensen chief operation officer. Haagensen formerly was head of strategy and planning at Atom Bank.
- The Points Guy, which helps consumers use points and miles earned through loyalty programs and credit cards, named Anka Twum-Baah senior vice president for customer loyalty and content. Twum-Baah’s experience includes marketing roles at American Express, Marriott, Microsoft, and Gap.
