Delta Adopts AmEx BNPL Service and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 2/18/22

  • American Express Co. said Delta Air Lines has adopted AmEx’s Plan It buy now, pay later service, allowing AmEx consumer card users to pay for Delta flights in equal monthly installments with a fixed fee. AmEx launched Plan It in 2017.
  • Payments provider Blackhawk Network Holdings Inc. said it is working with retail-technology developer LOC Software to develop touchless mobile-payment technologies for merchants.
  • Coast, a platform for fleet fueling through a Visa card, said it raised $27.5 million in a Series A round led by Accel and Insight Partners.
  • Payments provider Nuvei Corp. promoted managing director for digital payments Yuval Ziv to president. The company also appointed chief strategy officer Praful Morar to the role of global expansion officer and Netanel Kabala to the office of chief data and analytics Officer. Mark Pyke, president for North America, will retire at the end of March. That office is being discontinued.
  • Christine Habeeb has joined digital-rewards specialist Tango Card as its first full-time chief legal officer and general counsel. Her experience includes positions at Amazon.com Inc. and Stripe Inc.
