Everyware Launches Pay By Text and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 4/14/22

  • Everyware Worldwide Inc., a contactless payments and customer engagement company, announced its Pay By Text service, which enables consumers to use a cell phone number to make a payment. The service relies on Visa Inc.’s Token ID service.
  • Insurity’s Sure Claims Payments platform will provide digital-payment options on workers’ compensation claims for Victory Insurance under a new agreement.
  • PickleJar Holdings, a peer-to-peer payment platform specializing in payments to musicians and other artists, said it will support donations for a radio fundraising campaign aimed at sending care packages via Operation Shoebox, which will distribute the packages to U.S. armed forces globally.
  • Open banking technology provider MX Technologies Inc. announced it and Boss Insights, a business data aggregation provider, formed a partnership to offer fintechs and financial institutions real-time access to detailed small business banking, accounting, and commerce data to help with lending decisions.
  • Payments platform Nayax Ltd. announced an integration with American Express Co. in Europe and the United Kingdom, allowing Nayax devices to accept AmEx cards.
  • Global demand for contactless ticketing smart cards recovered 6% in volume in 2021 to reach 302 million units, ABI Research said in its “Contactless Ticketing Smart Card Technologies” report.
  • Security-industry veteran Reed Taussig will retire next month as chief executive of Outseer, formerly the Fraud & Risk Intelligence unit of RSA Security. Taussig joined the company in late 2020.
