BankiFi Raises $4.8 Million And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 8/15/22

  • Technology startup BankiFi, which seeks to enable payments and banking functions for small businesses, announced it has received a $4.8 million investment to fund its expansion into North America. Praetura Ventures led the funding round.
  • Focused Labs, a developer of custom payments software, said it has joined the Stripe Partner Ecosystem. Stripe Inc.’s partner ecosystem aims to support firms looking to create products and services based on Stripe’s technology.
  • Aliaswire, a provider of bill-payment and credit technology for financial institutions and businesses, released research indicating gains by banks using its DirectBiller platform over the past four years, including higher client and payer counts and improved client retention.
  • Payments-technology provider Nium Pte. Ltd. named Ramana Satyavarapu chief technology officer, based in San Francisco and reporting to chief executive Prajit Nanu. Satyavarapu comes to the company from Finix, a developer of payment-processing technology.
