ACI CEO Out and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 11/8/22

  • Thomas Warsop is taking over as chief executive of payments-technology provider ACI Worldwide Inc., succeeding Odilon Almeida, who is stepping down after serving in that role since March 2020. Warsop formerly was non-executive chair of the board of directors and is being succeeded in that role by board member Adalio Sanchez. Dow Jones Marketwatch reported ACI terminated Almeida without cause.
  • Unattended payments provider Cantaloupe Inc. reported $57.8 million in its fiscal first quarter ended Sept. 30. That’s a 26.2% increase from $45.8 million in the same quarter a year ago. Cantaloupe posted a loss of $8.5 million, up from its $1.3 million loss a year ago. It also said its number of active customers total 25,019 at the end of the first quarter, a 21% increase from 20,738 the year prior.
  • AirPlus International, a specialist in corporate payments, said it is processing payments for business travelers using Uber to get to airports and train stations.
  • Healthcare payments provider Nibble Health said it has joined Visa Inc.’s Fintech Fast Track program. The program accelerates the process required to integrate with the Visa network.
  • Emerging payments provider KodyPay said it raised $5 million in financing in the third quarter from existing shareholders and new investors, doubling the startup’s total funding so far.
  • Professional services firm Ernst & Young Global Ltd. said it is working with commerce services provider Shopify to help enterprise organizations with their e-commerce efforts.
