  • Buy now, pay later provider Affirm Inc. signed electronics retailer Newegg Commerce Inc. and The Passport Place, a travel document consultant, as new merchants.
  • Payments platform Mogo Inc. said it has received regulatory approval in Canada to launch MogoTrade, a commission-free stock-trading service.
  • Visa Inc. announced it has closed on its acquisition of Currencycloud, a provider of cloud-based technology for cross-border payments. Terms of the deal, which was announced in July, were not disclosed.
  • In related news, Visa said it has become the first Women’s Football Partner for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, adding to the company’s sponsorship of women’s football organizations globally.
  • PCI Pal said it is providing payment security for contact-center services sold by Talkdesk.
