Affirm, Amazon Mark Canada Expansion And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 9/22/22

  • Affirm Inc. expanded its installment payment service with Amazon.com Inc. to consumers in Canada.
  • Digital personal finance provider Achieve said the percentage of Achieve users with buy now, pay later accounts on their credit reports grew 58% in June compared to January 2021.
  • The “2022 State of Credit” report from Marqeta Inc. found that 64% of BNPL users reported an increased use of the payment option in the past 12 months. The report surveyed 4,000 consumers, including 2,000 U.S. consumers.
  • NCR Corp. said its Allpoint surcharge-free ATM network has been activated on ATMs in more than 3,500 Circle K stores in 30 states. In total, Allpoint access is available at more than 55,000 global locations, including 40,000 in the United States.
  • Payments technology provider Flutterwave said it added Google Pay as a payment option for its users in Africa.
  • The Merchant Risk Council appointed Amanda Mickleburgh, an ACI Worldwide Inc. product director for merchant fraud, as a co-chair of its European Advisory Board.
  • Blockchain payments provider Tassat Group Inc. named John H. Kispert to its board of directors. Kispert had been chief executive at Spansion and president at KLA-Tencor.
